Mercedes brake pipe (hardline)

Anyone know what size pipe and flare is on my 2003 S500...failed today on rear pipe so i want to put a repair section into the line. Cheers

My 2002 E Class used the 'normal size', whatever that might be I can't recall.
Green painted steel rubbish that loves to rust...
MB do a 'joiner' piece for this very purpose. Depends what tools you have, flaring old steel fitted can be hard.

I think European cars use 3/16 or 4.7mm just not sure on the flare,DIN or SAE
edit...3/16 as ashley burton says... not 7/16 which thinking is far too big

Usually find, with copper, both will crush down when tighten up
