7.5 tonne horse truck, belonging to a mate of mine.
He’s had the clutch, slave and master replaced, but the clutch pedal occasionally sticks down. It springs back nicely if he gives it a slight lift. Clutch action is fine.
It’s been back and forth to the garage to sort the sticking, but no joy. He’s asked if I want to take a look, but that would mean a 40-minute drive to me, and I’m not sure I can do much for it. I’ve done clutches in ordinary cars.
As far as I can find out, it's a concentric slave, so unless there’s an inspection plate I’ll leave well alone. Not up for taking the box out.
There’s a pedal bush and spring that could be replaced - my guess being that the bush might have worn out of round, and is now jamming the pedal in its new range of travel.
Any thoughts welcomed.
