I keep meaning to go along to the local one, just to say hello and see if it's for me (near enough the same age as you). Wouldn't hurt to do the same I would say, they probably won't bite!Hi

I always thought you had to be retired or around that age to join men in sheds.
You even don't have to be male. Some eccept everything.
Having women involved was something that my previous shed talked about but I think it got shelved because having women involved in a woodworking shop would have meant too much time
( babysitting) them and I don't think anyone wanted to take responsibility for it.
I doubt you would have to babysit any women interested in joining a shed. Probably be the other way round.

Well said, Mrs BSorry, did the forum drift through a time warp, and into the 1880’s? Excuse me while I flounce off, not forgetting to lift my petticoats out of the (saw)dust.
Now, which end of this very sharp round knife should I hold to cut this leather with.
Mmmm..... my poor girly brain just can’t cope. Where is my swooning couch?
Funny thing is that most of the women I know are quite capable of doing stuff, and get on with it, quietly, and without fuss.
Maybe it’s a Scottish thing.
