When welding 0.6 mild steel sheet using 25 amps on my Cosmo 200 and 0.6 wire I get a slightly cold and somewhat weak weld. If I increase the amperage (heat) then I get a much stronger weld, much faster but find that the wire tends to melt back to the tip and fuse with it, in 20 mins welding this happened three times. Has the forum any tips / reasons to avoid this?
