Medium size Co2 bottle

I have acquired a medium size Co2 gas bottle - just wondering where I could get it filled with Argon/Co2 mix - the bottle is the same outside diameter as the large bottles but is probably only half as tall - how much is it likely to cost to have it re-filled with Argon/Co2 mix - is it always 75% Argon 25% Co2?

You will not find any where. A co2 bottle is design to have co2 in it nothing else!

No one will fill it. The tank is not rated or certified for use other than CO2.

CO2 tanks are normally 900PSI or so. Ar/CO2 mixes are 2200-3400PSI.

You may be able to use it in "part exchange" for an Ar/CO2 bottle at one of the rental free suppliers.

75/25 is common in the US, not so in the UK. It has too much CO2 for stainless (even though Miller used to recommend it )

Argoshield light that is 5% CO2 with 2% O2 (or so) and some of the other suppliers equivalents (Cougar, Adams 5%) will work for stainless, but will need some cleaning to remove the oxide layer.

There are stainless gas mixes with helium, argon and O2 but they are not cheap.
