Hi, does anyone know what sort of price i will have to pay to get say an Austin A35 boot lid shot blasted? Will be starting a thread in the projects section if anyone is interested? Cheers! Dave.

i dont know the price but be carefull .getting it blasted u could ruin it ie warm it up and let the stress out of the metal .blasting of chassis and door pillars ect there no problem but body pannels and bonnets and boot lids be carefull . once they ve distorted uve had it even blasting with fine kiln dried sand at slightly lower pressure afects them

Brightspark is right, ring round and make absolutely sure the blasting firms know what they're doing, these guys who do buildings and bridges don't realise how much heat is generated by blasting.

I've sucessfully done panels with new grit, low pressure, low angle of attack and keep the jet moving.

As others have said get someone that knows thin panels, I would reccommend Elliot @ Eltec Media blasting in Uxbridge, He does al my stuff and he is excellent and knows his stuff.
