Mrs car broke down and she was desperate to have it back (no idea why it does a few thousand miles a year at best!)
Rang around 4 local garages but none could do it.
The water pump (supercharger) pulley bearing had collapsed despite being replaced 4 years ago.
Took it to a small, not what I would call a well equipped garage that was recommended by a friend. (No proper lift, just a scissor type)
Got it back tonight after they had it for 2-½ days.
Went to top the screen wash up and check oil to find they've already done it.
That's when I noticed something not sitting quite right.
This silver upside down bowl shaped thing, whatever it is, has two rubber grommets that push onto spigots on the said bracket. One of the spigots is seriously bent out of whack, I've tried to bend it back with mole grips but it won't go to its original position.
So I need a new bracket - does anyone know what this gizmo is called?
But also there's some pipework wobbling around that I'm sure had clips originally.
Has anyone got an A1 here who could check their hopefully original pipework?
£485 plus VAT it cost me and it doesn't have OEM pump or belts fitted.
