Only down side of big huskys is the weight! Even worse when running big bars. I also have a ms181 for little work its often a welcome brake after husky
Good morning.I wanted to ask the forum about chainsaw McDillen.I have a McDillen BM 6200 which presented a problem. While working normally, after 15-20 minutes suddenly revs up the engine itself, and then turns off. If after some effort get back, you can not upload speeds and it sounds like block carburetor. My question is as follows. Does anyone of you know how to adjust the carburetor? Is this the problem? Or is it some other problem? And does any of you know where I could find the instructions in English for this chainsaw?
if it runs for 15 to 20 minutes id say that the fueling is fine, you may have something in the tank restricting flow, most engines rev their bits off just before running out of fuel,im guessing its a clunk tank with a weighted prefilter ???
I bought a McDillon off of E-bay from Germany and it has been superb. It starts first time every time unlike the Ryobi rubbish I also own. The company who supplied it was excellent for after sales and apart from odd faults which have been easily remedied I am more than happy. The only faults I have had is a lever came off of the carburettor throttle linkage and the motor went full speed. Chain brake worked on that occasion. Easy fix. The chain adjuster became a bit sloppy and now needs replacing but it has cut my wood for about 3 years and we use wood here in France for our winter fuel. (about 5 cubic metres plus per winter). As for speeding up after 20 mins sounds like low fuel and a lower ratio of 2 stroke oil so increasing the fuel/air mixture making it rev. I believe a similar model is now marketed under the Kiam brand, there probably are others, they look identical so spares are harder to find but a little search on the tinterweb should find what you need.
souds like an offering from a chinese box shifter as said.
if you just want to look at it or play at makeing a noise it'll be fine, if you want to work it forget it
uaslly the bar and chain are crap and wear realy quick, so you spend out buy a decent bar and chain then the engine knackers up.
parts will be unavalible or at excessive , warrantys are often a joke and they are heavy to use when they work.
pritty much as the chinesse 2 stroke gennys. i use a lot of them for event lighting if they are likely to get nicked and write the run hours n thm with a maker pen , they don't do many
The problems continius. Now i have problem with the oil pump which it has to changed. But i cannot find it nowere. Is there anybody ho knows something?
Thank you.
The Chinese have managed to think up a name that even sounds daft. McCullock brand was bad enough , why not Ronald Mcdonald ? We know its all made in the same glorious revolution peoples toy factory.
Passing chinese junk through germany in its shipping container, doesnt make it any better quality.
Last year customs destroyed a load if cheep import chainsaws for several build problems which included no working chainbrake, even a cheep soft chain will make a mess of you if it kicks back, go for a secondhand small Stihll or the like, safer in the long run.
There is a company in the UK that supplies parts for these. http://www.gardenhirespares.co.uk/
They ship abroad but insist on registered post.
I have used them for my spares and my original supplier of the saw does spares but they have changed their name to Lifestyle GMBH I think.
Hope that helps.
