mb15 euro torch

hi all. when i bought my new mig the other week it came with a mb15 euro torch. is this the correct type for a 200amp mig welder? cheers

There's a bit of info here that says they are only good for 180 amps using Co2 or 150 amps with an argon mix.

I've got an MB15 on my Portamig 215, yes it's technically a bit on the small side, but its been ok for low duty welding at full power. The torch gets reasonably warm and I watch the duty cycle and stop to let it cool. the next torch up (MB25?) is physically much bigger.

i think ill be getting a bigger torch. i looked at the link that wyn supplied too. i must admit the torch does get warm, just thought that was the norm. whats the best torch to get for reasonable money? ive had a look on fleabay and seems theres alot of chinese crap floating about. had a thought, ill have a look in weldequip.

Yeah, probably a bit small. We have a couple of 230a welders that have MB25 torches. They sometimes start to smoke after welding on top settings for a while!
