Ok lads after days of trying to get my mig to feed tidy I've given up it seems as if it slows down then speeds back up so I can't get a constant arc I've tried every thing I can think off so can anybody help before I throw it back in the shed
Stick a meter on the wire feed motor connections and see if it IS actually varying the voltage while feeding. (meter set to DC volts at about 25 to 30 depending on meter)
Thank you all for your help ,I phoned my mate to see if he had any idea what the problem was so he came over to have a look and fond that the bracket that holds the drive wheel on has a little brass insert inside it that was sticking to the drive shaft and slowing the motor down so after a good clean and wd40 it seems to be running a lot better now so hopefully it has done the job ,if not ill go through the suggestions I've had on here thank you all again
