maypole missfire

Hi all in New to this site and mig welding I have just purchased a maypole no gas mig it's only got 2 speed settings (button) everytime I weld I don't get a continuous weld but it seems to pulsate can any one tell me why and how I can resolve the problem please

No bought of ebay could it be anything to do with flux core wire it's currently fitted with 0.9

Can you convert it to gas ? That flux core stuff is pretty bad for getting decent welds.

Like I said I'm new to mig welding so wouldn't have a clue on conversion

No live torch and no ac out

I haven't sorry but it's a maypole no gas mig mp520 if that helps I can attach photo of needed

I've been welding for 20 years or so and recently i was asked to do a weld on site on a mitsubishi l200. I used the welder on site, a no gas mig similar to yours and i couldn't get anything but crude snots of weld. The cheapo migs are very frustrating to use, even more so if you are a beginner.

yep i believe that the very low end mig welders and there stupidly low reliability puts a lot of people off welding that otherwise would of stayed in the hobbyist bracket...The MM no gas items and along them lines are pretty unusable except making nice pretty bright lights and making your friends think you can weld
