maypole 180 turbo welder

hi there i have a maypole 180 turbo dont no much about it iv been told they are made red and called maypoll in the us or uk cant rember which

but under the red paint its blue not shour what they call them when there blue

if any one could shed any light on it

Maypole are still about in Birmingham, but not as a redistributor of welding machines. (They were never a manufacturer.)

Try a search (not the google one) for Maypole, and you may well find that someone has already identified that model. If not, post a few pics and someone is sure to recognise it.

not found much on the search other than pepole say that maypole just rebadged weldrs but i cant find out what it was to start with who made it

Maypole are on the same industrial estate as the company I work for but just seem to do towing stuff now.

Yeah, I think they were always into vans and towing, but had a lengthy flirtation with rebadging MIGs in the 70s.

I think some one decided, their Maypole was a rebadged Sealey.
But they may have rebadged other brands.
