Hi,
So far I've only used the welders inside the garage. I will need to be able to use at least the stick welder at other locations and im swithering about how best to do this. One option might be to put a 16A socket right next to the DB in the, and make up one or more extension leads. Will i be able to fit 4sq.mm into 16A commandos? If they can only take 2.5sq.mm it doesn't really help compared to using a 13A extension.
The electrical layout is 25sq.mm SWA to the garage, then 40 metres of 10sq.mm SWA to the DB in the barn, and my concern is voltage drop rather than just current carrying capacity.
It's a 200A inverter using up to 3.2mm rods and it's been working fine in a 13A socket with short extension lead.
