Just a quick one, im building a trailer to fit my motor bike on to take to track days and im after a supplier of metal ideally in bedfordshire.
I've tried in the yellow pages but apart from knowing i want 50mm box section steel I have no idea of price or quantity, i know the bike is 90inchs long and is fairly low too!

any help greatfully recieved

I know these aren't in Bedford, they are in Southend, but they travel up into the Midlands every day, I can get material delivered to Northampton Quicker and cheaper than a local stockholder, they don't mind dealing via credit card and if delivery access is difficult will send a 7.5 tonne lorry http://www.industrialmetal.co.uk/, tel 01702 296933 ask for area 3 sales

The steel fabrication shops are the best around here. None of the bigger stockholders seem very interested in small quantities (for sensible prices).

I tend to buy steel from a fab shop on College Road in Kempston. (towards the end past the dodgy looking garages on the left). Can't remember the name and they don't seem to show up in the yellow pages, but they are quite approachable.

Is that A+R sheet metals? they have a big fence around there complex?

That sounds like them. Defnately two letters. Well worth checking the price you should be paying on the internet before going in - their pricing can be a bit random sometimes.
