For a car space frame using a combination of square and round tube usually works out better anyway.

Ah ok that's interesting, I will be researching it a lot more before I start. I'll make a jig up first

I was only going to make a jig so I could use standard parts to make it mobile if I needed to move it, plus I know they handle well atm! What would your advice be?

It would depend on exactly what you're building.

Whether you're using the stock suspension, or building some.

I will be using standard suspension parts for front and rear wishbones but using coilovers instead of standard stuff. Origionally I wanted to build a jig, finish resto of my imp then build a spaceframe version late this year or early next, I have been convinced by users on this forum to use square box and tube, hopefully 25x25 16g and cfs360-02 for the cage which is 3.2mm (overkill I know!).
I'm only young so I will be taking my time, thankfully I have access to just about everything I need, I will hopefully be asking lots of advise along the way
