Anyone know where I could get some angled mild steel checkerplate in northern Ireland. Need some for steps going into a loft

Cant help you with an NI supplier but you need to search for durbar plate stair treads, most steel suppliers will be able to supply them, or its bread and butter work for any fab shop with a press.

As Paul says. Durbar sometimes separates in a press break leaving sharps with the checker so go for ready formed out of preference it's worth it
