Material for bushes

I need to make a couple of top hat bushes for a control pedal pivot.

Originals were some sort of white plastic. What sort of material would be best do you think ? Nylon, Delrin, Acetal etc ? Could do brass I guess ?

I could buy the proper thing, but they are ridiculously expensive.

Have you looked at bearing Boys? I’ve had a few from them, prices are reasonable as long as they’re not large sizes you need.

bronze over brass would be my choice ..but as suggested whatever you have to hand.

Problem is I don't actually have anything suitable. Only steel, and I don't want to use that.

They are about 20mm. They are top hat type, and I only have the flanges left. Very difficult to measure the OD, as the vehicle cab is tipped ATM, and even when down, one needs to be a supple five year old, or a contortionist to get at it.

Yes, I have a lathe, does anyone on here NOT have one ?

PEEK, PPS or PA12 15% glass filled, but all with a 5-10%: PTFE friction modifier,
We use an aramid filler for some mouldings,
You can get bearing grades of most plastics, suppose it depends on application.
