Manrose MF100 inline fan - anything better?

I put MF100 inline extractor fans in the bathrooms about 5 years ago. They are starting to pack up now, one went a couple of months ago and another went yesterday. They have been performing poorly for a while now, then they just stop running at all.

They have some deposits on the blades but it's not that bad, I've been cleaning the ceiling grilles.

I'm thinking they must be a brushed motor and it's the brushes that have worn out? If that's the case is there anything better out there with an induction or brushless motor?

If it's anything like mine, it'll be packed full of dust etc. take the ends off and give it a good clean out

I have always gone for Vent Axia, or Xpelair.

They seem quiet, but whether they are any better ?

I bought the fan for my grinding room from a guy who was clearly selling a lot of hydroponics gear and from the odour coming of him he was smoking the profits too it was is a Vent Axia fan and must have been running 24/7 and its still going strong now

I need a new one for our bathroom too as its an inline one but the cheap ones at screwfix/toolstation have a very low cfm best to buy the highest you can afford

they never seem to mention if they are brushless too

ive fit loads of manrose mf 100 inline fans, good airflow only 50 quid and last years. wall and ceiling fans i fit a lot of envirovent timer fans . low profile high flow rate and silent running they have ball bearing motors not cheap bronze bushes and a 5 year warranty 55 quid. just clean them out once a year . none of the fans have brushed motors

If that's the case is there anything better out there...

SF, TS, B&Q etc. only sell what their customers buy - and as most of those are builders wanting quick profit, they do not offer premium products.

To find the best on the market, you might need to look at a more specialist supplier.

There is a site called onlyfans.com which could be a good place to start.

The fans I am looking at are mixed flow, which are supposed to be best of both worlds. The centrifugal fans I saw couldn't get near the MF100 specs, and I think they are the mounted type not inline.

I went for another MF100S. Had a look around and the Envirovent silent fan caught my attention, but it's 3x the price and the specs are near enough identical. Seems the MF100S does indeed have top performance in all areas.

The old one was pretty clean I thought.
