Hi guys.
Can one of you knowledgeable chaps that know about electric motors...my power hacksaw has a 3 phase motor..and I would like to install and new single phase motor..i have taken a picture of the original motor and the details regarding it...it doesn't say what kw it is...ebay and different places advertising single phase but could you guys point me in the right direction and tell me what would be a suitable motor for it...many thanks.

The one fitted is a 1hp and is dual voltage, so you could run it from a VFD

mines fitted with a 1/3 hp and it cuts up to 3inch round bar no problems and I've used it for over 40 years . motor was second hand when I put it on .the crank speed is only about 80rpm so plenty of torque
