Malwarebytes odd behaviour

Does anyone know why malwarebytes would be blocking seemingly innocent sites all of a sudden?

Work laptop, windows 10, running Chrome as the main browser and keep getting pop ups from malwarebytes like this -

Am running a scan now.

Before anyone says contact your IT dept - thats a last resort as i want my laptop to work.

Ah. Thats helpful. At least i haven't got some sort of malware! Google didnt bring that up for me or I wouldnt have posted!

They have released an update to hopefully fix it.

It happened to me too, yesterday. It was going ballistic for a while before I managed to manually update it.

I had this too. I went into the malwarebytes settings and told it to update itself and that sorted it

I've used Malwarebytes for years without any trouble but I use firefox as a browser. I find if any program gives me a problem ....like a corrupt file caused by an update for instance . I just use Ccleaner to uninstall it and re-install the program. This has happened with some of the anti-virus programs over the years.

It all seems back to normal now - like the others, I ran a manual update and its all fixed.

Thank goodness I dont need to get IT to look at my machine. I have had 'We have fixed the problem for you' before as they try to hand me a different machine because they broke the one I took to them....!
