There is a saying over here: Go out in a renault... come back on a bike!
The renault 4's don't seem to be going up in value like the 2CV's for some reason.

They were a bit slow to get going but are shooting up now that there aren't many left. Couple without MOTs on eBay went for nearly a grand recently (which I thought was too much), and really good ones go for more than £3k. Though really good ones are very rare these days.

I've got 8 of them. Just waiting for my moment

I was looking through some old Observer's books the other day.It seems as though Renault have brought out over the decades, a model with every number from, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21,and 25.

though i am sure i have probably missed a few as well ? are they trying to claim every model number in the world?

There was also a Renault 11 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_9_&_11 My brother-in-law used to have one. Great engine but died a quick death from apalling rust (rear wheel arches all around the damper mounting points) and it was only about 7 years old when he had it.

They never did do a Renault 13. You can see that after completely running out of numbers they did all the Papa/Nicole nonsense and named their cars names rather than numbers.

I'm not a fan of the brand myself.
