This really isn't that technical in the grand scheme of things but I'm strangely chuffed with my lastest little creation.
Background: Soon I will want to cut out several circles in MDF and I don't have access to a router, or table saw, or anything other than a jigsaw actually.
I want to cut accurate, repeatable rings so I made this:
It's 3 pieces, one has to be detachable to get it on and off. On and I'll replace the two screws at the back end with rivets once I find some.
I tapped some existing holes in the base to accept an M4 allen head bolt, then filed them down flush.
I'm yet to make the arm, but that will basically a flat piece of steel with a hole either end spacing the jigsaw to the desired diameter.
I'm love to say I 'knocked this up' but it took an embarrassingly long time in reality
