Hi all.
Have posted on the "Learning MIG Welding" forum. Am a MIG-fabricating newb for the most part. My tendencies leaning toward automotive work.
Am finally getting around to making a better welding table.
Base: recycled from defunct Craftsman radial arm saw.
Top: ~ 4' x 2' Four "black" steel (UN-plated) studs welded to bottom of top will secure top to frame.
With steel wire, my MIG is rated to 1/8"
My gut says "yes" but since top is larger than base.....
If top is 1/8" thick, and base 1/16" thick, will frame tend to conform to the top? (especially if I leave the base bolts loose) I don't expect the table top to be perfectly flat, but close would be nice. Legs have adjustable bases.
Thanks,
Neil.
