Had a little job to do today.nothing to exciting. A chain guard for a bitumen tanker I have been doing bits on.after cutting my plates and realised I haven't got enough. Then realised I am out of 1.6 rods.on top of that my strip light in my shed starts flickering on and off interfering with my welding lid.so I climb on top of my bench and do what most of us do and hit it with something heavy..clambering about on bench I knock my work piece over...when I had finished tacking the thing up..I realised I had done it the wrong way round ffs. .

you're not the first to tack or even weld something up the wrong way, I'm sure we have all done it

that's why cutting discs were invented, so we can cut the welds we have just done

ive done the same when folding a plate you have just made, someone comes and talks to you, you stick it in the folder bend it walk back across to fit it and

Yes.it's just so annoying. So tomorrow I got to take it a part a put it the right way.or I could go all the way around ...saves having to cut it.

Usually when its a fancy laser cut part, in an expensive material, on a super urgent rush job....or the last bit of sheet big enough you have in stock.

I thought it was just me, I do it regularly! I put it down to workshop gremlins nipping in & changing your marking out while you've gone for a pee.

With me its normally forming a flange or putting a fold in the wrong direction, sometimes its best to walk away do something else and come back to it from fresh.
