got a new van and thinking of making up some light bars, side steps etc for it. A lot of bars I've seen have domed ends on them like
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131860017397
Which I prefer over flat ends
I know Purdie and others can supply them but I was wondering if making my own was an option for cost purposes ( I have access to a lot of scrap 1.2,0.9,0.7 304 ss sheet)
I have a Denbigh no5 flypress also have access to a hydraulic press.
So for tooling would it be case of buying the correct sized hollow hemisphere and solid sphere (to sit inside hollow sphere) and squishing sheet with solid sphere into hollow hemisphere using it as a former or am I thinking far too simply and there's more to it
I'd need it to butt up to 2.5" tube or 2.25" tube then I can tig around and blend in
