Hello to all. I'm totally out of my element. But I'm going to give welding a try. I'm a wood worker so here we go. I want to build a back yard smoker. I recently got my hands on a JobBox which will make a great smoker. I want to build a stand for it. I figure on getting the stand powder coated once I get it built. And the box sandblasted and powder coated or some type of heat resilient paint. So here are my questions. First I have a little small Mig welder. so I know to practice on some scrap metal. But my first question is. On the JobBox it has a few holes in it. So far nothing bigger the a quarter. What can I use to fill in the holes? I know it has to be non toxic. And my next question is on the stand and design of the stand. What thickness or gauge of metal should I use? As well for the fire box that I will attach to the side of the JobBox. Thanks to all and I do love this site!
