ive been thinking of getting a canoe or one of them things you sit "on" rather than a canoe.
hope you know what i mean, any idea what there called?? and a rough idea of price??
i live on me narrow boat, and been thinking of doing a bit of exercise as im getting a fat bastid!!

thought one o these would be good for exercise and fun

Get yourself a pushbike and ride up the towpath. Canal towpaths are great for cycling, you only have to go uphill when you get to a lock

No good for horse riding though, Mrs Robo and her mate were told they couldn't ride along it which is ironic when you think of why they were built

Biking the canalas is a great way to get around, I haeexplored hundreds of miles of towpaths.
A great bonus is they were built for thirsty boatmen so there is a pub usually about every 8 miles.
I admit to ounce goin in the canal. I got charged by two geese, flinched and fel i with the bike. Luckily no witnesses.
