Yes got a mini hobby lathe type so should be fine with the 10mm size but will have to see what it's like for holding the fly cutter base as I am currently only working with a 3 jaw

Holding a tool to turn the shank is a pain, I have done it before. Another option is a split/shrink/press fit sleeve to one of the bigger collets.

......the push type need a really beefy rigid lathe.

You'd be better off fitting the knurls to the steady arms, which would become a 3 point clamp knurler. I imagine it'd only work with straight knurls or need a plastic 3rd wheel with the diamond type.

I see , I've 3 flycutters and ideally like to use them all with the collet so will have a think.

Not got to boring anything out on my mini lathe yet but may be handy to learn that skill and tooling for other projects as well
