Machinery's Handbook

I'm thinking of the buying a copy of Machinery's Handbook does anyone know if it covers trapezoidal screw dimensions as well as acme and if so from what edition?
Is there anywhere that lists differences between editions?
I'm looking for one which covers metric screws, but not worried about something too recent as I only use manual machines.

My dads very old hardback 1980's only has very basic details but a later one had most of it, atleast the DIN preferred sizes.
I seem to remember one of them was 27th edition, not sure if thats my dads or the newer one.
Anything recent will have it.

Trapezoidal are in 29th edition p. 1904.

The two posts before your own mention earlier editions than you mention. I think the OP is trying to determine the _oldest_ edition that would have the information.

After reading the OP I had a browse through my edition while eating dinner and posted my findings.
I first saw the other answers after I posted mine. I'm getting a bit slow. Just put it down to old age.

My 22nd edition has a comprehensive acme section and a page of metric trapezoidal thread

17th has American stub Acme and general purpose, no metric or mention on trapezoidal. Perhaps I should update?

No trapezoidal, but does have wood screw and lag screw threads as well as details of the correct fluting cutters to use when making taps.
