I've bought G3 and G10 so will test patch g10 first but paint is very flat so won't probably be enough.I'm going for the silverline machine trying this out on the cheap.

If paint is very bad, it would probably be a good idea to find someone who knows what they are doing to have a look and do the job for you? Its very easy to screw this sort of job up bigtime, and a respray will cost a lot more than paying someone £50 to do it for you.
