Machine Mart 'VAT Free' days.

OK, now I need to buy a Clarke welder. I've read that Machine Mart have 'VAT free' days. A bloke at their Twickenham branch says they have 4 a year but couldn't tell me when the next one is. Do they come around every 3 months? Any ideas?

not really sure about it but i do know weldequip on here can normally offer a better price that the standard machine mart price

I think they arrive at different times in different areas. There is one in Sheffield on 3rd and another on the 6th Jan.

You can only attend by invitation though, they have security on the door and you have to produce your invite, they don't ask for ID though You can take upto 3 guests.

Invitations go out to existing customers.

Strictly speaking, it's a "VAT inclusive" deal, if you're a VAT registered business you can still claim 17.5% VAT back.

The VAT free only applies to Clarke products, there is 10% off everything else.

i got a leaflet invite thingy through the door, cardiff are having one on the 6th, from 6.00pm to 9.00 pm!

Swansea MM was today, went to buy wellies at B&Q and found MM open, spend £30 and vat off, bloke said it was invite only but still let us in. Was tempted by some slightly bent tool cabinets, but left empty handed, couldn't actually find anything that interested me.

As long as you are on their database you can normally get in even without an invite, I went to one in November without an invite no problems.
Next one's in Birmingham are 3rd & 6th of Jan

As East London is next week, I'll call Twickenham again.
