machine mart airmaster 8/30 tiger. not cutting out????

Help! Help! Help!

I have a machine mart air master 8/30 tiger, and for some reason it wont cut out once the pressure has built up.

I don't have the manual, so I cant find the part number.

I have searched and searched on Google and had no luck.

I'm really stuck on what to do as it is a discontinued item so I hope someone can point me on the right direction

Sounds like the pressure switch. They're a standard item, about £20, Machine Mart, Ebay &c.

also check your pressure relief valve can move freely

^^ He says pressure builds up, so the relief (safety) valve is unlikely to be leaking. Easy enough to tell though - you will be able to hear it and feel a blast of air coming from it.

when I do a service on a compressor with a fault I check everything for problems

well if its not cutting out what pressure is it going to the safety valve will or should blow off it it gets more than about 10 psi past its suposed cutout pressure . it would be worth checking it isnt stuck and its working properly

Bit late but the pressure switch is adjustable for pressure and easy to do and worth a try. Just need a flat blade screwdriver.
If it has packed up I have one off my old compressor to trip out at 10bar.
