so,,bringing my new van home yesterday heading south on a downhill i see a huge collection of green roofed portal framed sheds ,must be 20-40 of them,right by Happendon services,near RIGSIDE,WHAT ARE they-mod? who travels that route-any answers please.

I've seen similar sheds next to motorways that are use as road salt stores.

Looking on maps it seems like the motorway embankment is suffering a lot of erosion just south of the services. perhaps they are put up to protect from that?

they're circular with a domed roof,these are conventional portal frames & LOTS of them.
