My recent exhaust pipe swap was a pain as most of my tools are not compact enough. Heres a list of what I have:
Parkside 20v impact wrench - too big. Knly a few bolts I could use it on, though it was a good size for proping the pipe up.
Parkside 12v ratchet. It works, it is weak, the 12v batteries always sound like they are going flat, but it does the job. I feel a brushless version could be a lot more compact.
Parkside 12v 3" grinder. Not much power, with the guard, its still not able to get at many bolts.
18v Fakita 5" grinder. Works great for other work, too long for working under car. Managed to cut one bokt off but it was only possible to hold it in a somewhat dangerous position.
18v Fakita die grinder. Excellent tool at the work bench, but again is too long for using under a car.
M12 rotary tool M12BLROT. Great little tool, tho let down by the dremmel type collets instead of an ER type chuck, and low quality dremmel type bits.
I'm looking at M12 as it seems to be good for a 12v system, I already have the tool above, 3ah battery and charger. I would only consider brushless motored tools, as I know theres afew that are not.
Looking at the M12 stubby impact, ratchet, die grinder and or any other tools. It appears that the stubby impact needs a 5ah battery for best results tho unlikely I need that good performance.
@Craig-SM you appear to have used many of the M12 tools?
