Reading another thread about first aid kits reminded me about an accident my mate had with my boat trailer.
I only bought it the day before - 8.5m twin axle to carry 3500kg so a hefty beast!
The trailer was unladen but still a fair noseweight.
The minute my back was turned my mate was yelling - "get it off me get it off me"!
The idiot had decided to release the clamp holding the jockey wheel. The trailer dropped like a stone and his other hand was on the jockey wheel knob. The release pawl lever went straight through the back of his hand!
I had to grab a trolley jack to lift the trailer back up.
There was virtually no blood but I gave him a toilet roll to squeeze whilst I took him to hospital.
It was a flipping miracle - the thing went straight through the back of his hand and made contact with that black ball and yet no blood. It went between the bones and tendons so no damage at all. He only has a tiny scar. Everyone calls him Jesus now................
