Looking for caravan fridge experts now

I was away over the BH & the thetford fridge in my van started playing up. It's indicating code 13 which from the thetford website indicates the temp sensing thermistor is possibly faulty. However on removal the thermistor is varying in resistance with temp, giving about 22k ohms at room temp. Some caravan owner websites say resistance operates around the 2.2k region does anybody think like me the thermistor is knackered (replacement £16) alternative is replacement control panel (£65+). My previous experience with thermistors is they either go open circuit or dead short.

If it's 20000 ohms out I'd say its knackered...

at 16 quid i'd say it's worth trying a replacement thermister first, before going for the expensive options

if it's any use I have a new thermister from an knackered STC- 1000 temp controller. a two wire job..

Can you plot a graph of temperature against resistance? Do these websites say the resistance of 2K2 is at room temperature?

Have you got your meter set to the correct range?

Sorry correction the resistance is 10k at room temp, 22k in iced water. The meter is auto ranging.
Still quite a bit different from the ranges quoted on the caravan website which was room temp.
