your hypertherm machine will work a treat, the only downside is you would need a machine torch ,these are not cheapAlso looking at cnc plasma and I see xtreme now do 10x5 table and 100 amp 3 phase plasma source. A question for Rob I guess, what sort of weight can the table take and what thickness can the 100 amp pierce? I have a specific requirement apart from regular plates, of having holes in 100x50x3 box, in pairs every 50mm so in a 2500mm length it would have 100 holes and then repeated on the back. These need to match up so I guess some sort of jig for repeatability, would this be ok on a machine at this level, how long would it take, holes are 9mm. I also have a hypertherm 45(not an xp) already, could this be used intially?
10x5 was designed for aluminium sheets, but you can use a seperate table inside the machine like the hi end industrial machines so weight and heat are not a issue, again with box section you can do as big as you need because the x-axis beem can be lifted where it bolts on,r-tech p100 cnc can pierce 20mm ,if you need any more help or info you are welcome to call me 01452739025
