looking for a welder

hi i am looking for a welder in north London (highbury) to do a small job on a motorbike frame.. Does any1 know where to go or can do this small job..

Depending on the job, most backstreet garages have a MIG and/or oxy acetylene gear.

I'd imagine that there are lots of small fabrication places round there -- P? What's the bike?

It is a GSXR750l slingshot. After a close look it has been crashed.. I hoping that I don't have to remove the engine.. I know nothing about welding.. I DO want to learn...


I am having troubles finding some1, even searching.. maybe have to do it the old fashion way.. Yellow pages..lol
I need to go away soon.. so anywhere near highbury..

The local bikeshops may have some ideas -- I think Hexagon of Highgate has been shut for years, but they'd be my first port of call down there.

You might consider sending the frame in the post/carrier -- pulling the engine on one of those is only about a half day's work. Gleve Engineering (in Holmfirth, near Huddersfied) and Spondon Engineering (near Derby) are both class acts who deal with aluminium frames.

got it done for 60quid.. will i happy i can go on my trip on the bike.. just the f*&^king weather..
