Looking for a supplier of plastic coated steel wire for handbrake cable

Short story on this, my Jaguar handbrake cables are "crusty". The Jaguar solution is a new motor and primary cable (one item), and two other short cables for either side (of which only one is unavailable). Total cost £680, for an incomplete set.
So my eureka moment tonight - get some plastic coated 4mm cable and make my own. So I need some cable with a single wound outer, not the more common bundled, wound cable. I've started Googling, but wondering if anyone has a favourite supplier?

So I need some cable with a single wound outer, not the more common bundled, wound cable.

You probably want ‘1x 19’ wire rather than ‘7 x 7’

various marine grade of st/steel cables......
my trucks use cable brakes all round.....thats what I used for replacement cable...

Well I spoke to the hairdresser -sorry the salesperson - at Venhills, what a waste of time that was. Failed to find anything in the UK, ordered 1 by 19 coated from Germany. Plenty of Chinese options on the net, but that could have worked, maybe not, a distinct lack of information on there.
So fingers crossed for the Germans - has echoes of when I was looking for jet plugs for the downdraft carbs on my Vmax - German seller was the only supplier I could find, the Chinese/UK ones were the wrong size. There's no hope for this country...
