Does anybody know of a splined shaft that might fit this drive mechanism?
16 splines, and the major diameter (outermost measurement of the splines) appears to be approximately half inch. The machine was made in UK and dates from late 1960s, so I suspect it is an Imperial size, but could possibly be metric.

It is part of a low-budget restoration project. Making a new splined shaft from scratch would be very expensive, and it would be nice if we could find a compatible part from some other machine or (better still) from a scrap heap.
