No pictures at the moment but I got a new battery drill and a 12 v compressor thing for blowing car tyres up - so putting them together I could be entertained all day :-)

I had been going to ask for a 2-axis DRO for my mill (she has form in this area, with a 1940s lathe last xmas and a plasma cutter the year before ) but figured we're splurging too much money on a new car to warrant another £200 pressie, so;

All good stuff - at first, I thought the thing on the left was a funky rubber welding glove but it's actually a funky rubber oven mitt - kinky
And a bottle of Ghost Pepper - apparently the strongest hot sauce on the market, freezy ice things for my whisky, a bottle of frenchie wine, some mini board games for new year and a posh keyring for the aforementioned car

Aaaaaargggghhhh!!! I just opened it up and splurged a drop on my finger and tasted it. Flaming heck that burns
Just had a pint of milk and a slice of bread and I think I can talk again.

I've belatedly just looked it up - apparently the ghost pepper (or bhut jolokia) is 400 times hotter than tabasco, at 1 million Scovilles. I'm off for a lie down...

It's surprisingly sturdy.

I bought the Clarke version of the same thing, until you have one you don't realise how many uses you have for one.
Bought mine to shape the timbers on my vintage car project but have found a million other uses since then.

Got spoilt this year but nothing workshop or car related. I'm keeping an eye out for an old Volvo B20 cast valve cover but not seen any come up for sale in ages unfortunately.

I woke up to find 3 donkeys in the drive. No virgins on their back though (I live in Fife).
The wind blew my neighbour's gate open during the night and let them free.

Later this morning we found half the electric fence posts in our field had snapped. Another expense.

My wife is choked with the cold and can't face a full turkey dinner, especially stuffing.

I still have 8 bottles of gift wrapped beer to work my way through. Shouldn't be a problem.

Full size blasting cabinet and car creeper. Also metric spanner sets of various types plus enough smelly stuff to restock Debenhams counters. Not sure why as I prefer soap and water to smelling like a "new 'man' ".

I've had nothing from my wife. I kept asking her what she wanted, got answer I don't know, don't worry. She then said I haven't bought you anything either, didn't know what to get you! Sort of stalemate really, suits me though, if I want anything I'll go out & buy it, I'm not into Christmas really, I've been out in the shed this morning making a bracket to hang up the stepladder for something to do.
