Yes! Annoyingly I have seen that somewhere before but can't quite place it. Reminds me of the genius tools logo but that's not it, looks vintage - do you know roughly how old?
This is an example of the older genius logo. It is similar but I still don't think that's it. I am very certain I have seen it before. It's nagging in the back of my mind but I'm drawing a blank on a name
yip it is similar however ihave failed to find an older genius logo like mine
ive also looked at older kingchrome and king tony logos but that are very different, not sure if the first letter is supposed to be a "c" or a stylised "k"
so i reckon either "ks" or "cs"
There is a KS tools, but that isn’t their logo. It isn’t Sata tools either.
Give your location, and they style of the tool I'd say its very likely Taiwanese in origin.
Have you tried over on garage journal? If anybody knows for certain, it will be somebody on there.
Sorry that should have been "given" not "give". I know you guys get a lot of Asian imports.
The style of the finish looks Taiwanese, possibly could be Japanese with that knurling style. Ironically, European brands would be a lot rougher in finish.
Another thing you could do is count the teeth, that could help give an indication of age.
It definitely looks like a cheap China/Taiwan import. I don't think it's old enough to be a cheap Japanese one, it would also most likely say Japan if it was.
There's definitely been some unusual brands which have been imported into Australia and New Zealand. One that I find weird is that there's a lot of old NIZ socket sets around, there's some even for sale NOS. Due to the labelling only being a small piece of paper not in English, they get confused with Herbrand due to the similar logo.
