Loctite?

I've got a bottle of thread lock and I've had for about 16 years.
how long does this stuff keep? does go off?

mines about the same age and works fine put some on a nut and bolt then try and loosen it after a day if your not sure

At work it's stored in fridges and thrown out after a year, at home it lasts forever. Having said that, I did have a bottle go all thick and useless once, no idea why.

I've a bottle of bearing lock. It must be over 40 years old

I've got some what must be well over 20 yrs old. Still seems to work - at least, nothing has come undone.
Does seem to like blocking up the nozzle though, so I usually end up pulling the nozzle off and shoving a small screwdriver in to get some as an application tool

For those of use lucky enough to use proper sized bottles at work . . . don't look up the price!

I'm still annoyed with them - still waiting for news on the results of my second interview with them for a technical sales engineer position in 1995 . . . as well as they are really crap, really really crap, at answering the phone or emails.

But it may have frozen over the winter ? Dunno.

Apparently even the loctite superglue is meant to be kept in the fridge?!

Go to the Southern Manufacturing Show and you can often acquire a bottle. I managed to bag a bottle of the really good green stuff, came in handy for the Perkins liners and boy it's not cheap!

It's bloody expense, but, generally last years.

We buy the little bottles, don't use it that often.

We've also got a bottle of the Berner equivalent, same same.
