I had a Skoda at work today with alloy wheels and no locking wheel nut key
All the normal methods failed (I tried them all)
A short length of 20 mm box was MIG welded on to the flat face of the nut (from the inside)
A socket nocked on to this when it was still hot
Once cool the bolt unscrewed
The box section prevented damage to the wheel
