Lock picking

Been six weeks since I posted this on another lock-pick thread so thought it was ready for another outing

My neighbour came to me a few years ago and said he'd lost the key to his £200 bike lock and did I have any ideas?

I gave him my 36" bolt cutters and he said "it won't make a dent - £200 lock, doncha know"

15 minutes later, he returned with his bike and my bolt cutters and announced that he would never spend £200 on a lock again.

when i was younger and (just as) dull, i spent £350 on a chain and lock for my cbr400rr...believed all the marketing nonsense about how it couldnt be cut with an oxy torch etc (becasue obviously all small time crims carry OA cutting gear in their man bag)...stoped believing about how it was the gold standard of chains when i had to go running out at 3am to kick someone in the back of the head while they were trying to steal it...once i had dragged them to a dark corner and made sure they knew they were hurt i found thay had smashed a screw driver into the lock and actually opened it...sent pictures of the lock, with screwdriver still embedded to the manufacturer of the lock...they offered me a £30 gift voucher against another of their own products as some sort of compensation for the fact they had sold cheap junk marketed as fort knox...now i watch the lock picking lawyer and McNally to see what they make of a lock before i buy it

oh, and bought a massive dog

But wasn't it worth finding out that the lock was junk because you got the chance to inflict some street justice to a scumbag that normally walks away from everything with no consequences?

once lock picking lawyer says ,,, I would use this ,,,, buy a few of them.

They do make grinder resistant locks, with some kind of ceramic in them I think, not cheap though.
