Local Cheap gas

Hi new to this forum im 15 and am currently in the process of restoring a classic mini i am constantly welding and the gas seems to cost a fortune. I get mine for £60 for a 20l argon co2 mix is this the right price to pay as the bottles seem to go really quickerly and keep having to pay £60 pounds which seems to be alot of money in my point of view are there any local places were i can get cheaper gas as cant seem to find any local to watford

Have a gander in the shielding gas section of the forum , the volkszone boc offer is what you want .cant remember the prices offhand but its easy to set up just give them a ring to set up an account ,then pick up from your local boc agent .

What do you class as runs out too quickly? the flowrate only needs to be about 8-10 lpm in decent conditions.

I was in a similar position to you, however with a Land rover rather than a Mini. Like others have said, try the Volkszone offer, Its about £35 rental a year and about £30 for a refill. thats for a Y size bottle, which will last a long while, unless you fabrication the mini from scratch!
