Got my first 6" Tull from @northwest quite a while back for wire wheel & adapted for polishing, foot print is pretty small and really impressed at how quiet and smooth.

Got another form @andyg0141 the other day fitted with grinding wheels, and apart from dressing the wheels and adding some pre scratched guards, equally super smooth and although only rated at 1/2HP unstallable unless your being stupid, I had a 1/2hp Hilka that I could stall with my nadger! (Floodgates
)

On wheel dressing, smooth side ali oxide had nigh on 2mm taper, impressed by the dirt cheap dresser pictured which had it square real quick - I'm a stinge but loads of life left in that wheel. I've an 8" Titan bench grinder which is fine to use - with ear defenders!, - sad but how smooth
edit, thats attached to a board in a vice.
Anyroad, if you see a Tull BG going cheap, grab it, they are great to use for their size
