linoln electric 316L filler rods

Boys,
A friend of me selling some linoln electric 316L filler rods,thinking to purchase.
The issue is that they don't state somewhere the lincoln electric logo or the Metrode.
I do know Lincoln not do filler rods ,usually rebudge.
Is that normal or my friend has been cheated ?

The Esab I own myself stated.
Is not the same with the Lincoln own?

I have some Esab filler Rods 1.6mm.
In the edge these filler rods state ESAB the Brand of them.
My friend Filler Rods sold as Lincoln Electric but that is not actually stated in the Filler Rod .The rods purchased from the ebay !
Is that normal for Lincoln Electric filler rods?

Yes, I have plenty of rods, and they just state the # and no make

As said it's not common for the rods themselves to be stamped with a brand. The flattened ends will/should be marked 316L and/or 1.4430 in this case unless it's really small diameter stuff when there's not much point

Someone could take a Lincoln box put any filler rod and name it Lincoln electric

Righto, The rods don't normally have a brand name on them just a spec code.
