Linking a PDF document to a weblink

Any of you computer literate chaps offer any advice?

I have eight certificates that i want to link to on my email footer at work. Our website is a pain in the rear at the moment so i'd rather not, for now, put them on there and link them.

Is there another way round this?

Use something like Dropbox, Box.Com. Your ISP may have some cloud storage included in your package.

you could add them to your email template as attachments, this way they are sent out with all mail (some firms do this with T&C's). if they are scanned you may wish to make the resolution as small as possible to save the attachment size.
If this is not possible i use drop box a great deal for sharing large files, you could add the link to your email signature if required. There has been talk of security issues with drop box so i try not to save 'critical' or 'sensitive' things in there.

Adding them as attachments will most probably confuse your customers.

Do you have ftp access to your website, or are you on a content management system only?

If you are using a modern version of outlook on a windows PC then hosting them on a web folder somewhere and referencing them is one of only two ways of giving recipients the best chance of seeing them

if you keep the images on your PC then there is a registry patch to force outlook to send the images with the email otherwise (by default) recipients will just see the little cross and an outline box

IF, and only if, you are using a modern 2007, 2010 or 2013 version of outlook on windows then save the following lines to a file called Outlook.reg and then double click it to add the contents to the registry

Noooo !!!! don't do this, you would be spamming everybody with your stuff this way, think about it if your sending a few emails back and forth with someone, everytime they get a email from you they automatically have to download your bl**dy certs again and again. You might be on mega fast broadband but not everybody is and they will not thank you for it.

I have 8Mbit at home, at work we barely manage 1Mbit and it's frustrating as hell sometimes.

You need to host the PDF's on a website somewhere and just put the link to it in your footer...

apologies but I answered the wrong question anyway as I was thinking you wanted to add images to your footer not pdf's. with PDFs the only alternative is to send them as attachments
