Been trying to put some new sills on my daughters old Micra and I'm having some bother getting a decent weld at the lower settings. Its gone past "pigeon poo" stage and gone straight to "strings of rice crispies" mode.I tried pulling the wire through with the tension off the reel and the rollers open and it was fairly stiff to pull so I'm guessing its time to change the liner.
Its a Clarke Pro 90 about 8-10 yr old, although its not had a great deal of use in that time. What I need to know is how to change the liner. Is it similar to the SIP method shown in the Welders section? Also is it better with a steel replacement liner than the plastic jobbie?
